CyberPoint offers two Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans providing medical, dental, and vision coverage to all full-time employees.
The Blue Choice Opt-Out Open Access Plan is offered at no cost to the employee. This regional plan gives an employee access to a large network of providers in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia areas. It also gives an employee the ability to “opt-out” by visiting providers outside of this network in exchange for higher out-of-pocket costs. This Plan offers its members in-network coverage for emergency hospitalizations and urgent care even if they occur outside of the MD, DC, and Northern Virginia areas, as well as internationally. Although members are required to choose a PCP upon enrollment, they have “open access” to visit any specialist without the need for a referral from their PCP for most in- or out-of-network care.
The Blue Preferred PPO Plan is offered for only 20% of the Plan’s premium which is deducted from an employee’s pay on a pre-tax basis through the premium payment component of CyberPoint’s Cafeteria Plan. This plan gives an employee access to a large network of providers across the nation. Members of this Plan can receive in-network coverage for routine physician visits, emergency hospitalizations, and urgent care throughout the United States and internationally. An employee also has the ability to visit providers outside of the PPO network in exchange for higher out-of-pocket costs. Members are not required to choose a PCP upon enrollment. They can self-refer to any provider in the network.
The Blue Vision Plus Plan is offered at no cost to the employee. Blue Vision Plus members receive an extended vision benefit that includes an eye examination and the opportunity to receive one pair of glasses or a supply of contact lenses during each benefit period.
You can also receive care from a non-participating provider and have the same level of coverage but may be subject to higher out-of-pocket costs. This plan is administered by Davis Vision, Inc., a national provider of vision care services.
The Regional Traditional Dental IV Plan is offered at no cost to the employee. Members of this plan have access to a large network of dentists across the nation. Benefits include regular preventive care, X-rays, dental surgery, and more. You can also receive care from a non-participating dentist and have the same level of coverage but may be subject to higher out-of-pocket costs.
